Rocked Under by Cora Hawkes ~Katie's Review~
Picking up the pieces and starting again in the US, Emma enrols in college with her cousin, Ashley. She is finally free to do what she wants and live how she chooses, and no man will ever rule her decisions or emotions again.
That is, until Scott Mason walks on stage...
Intense bad boy Scott is the lead singer of a popular local rock band. A ladies' man and Ashley's long-time friend, Scott holds an instant fascination for Emma - she finds herself drawn to him, even though he represents everything she hates and needs to stay away from in a guy. He treats females like he does a cigarette - light it, use it, and lose it.
For her cousin's sake, Emma makes an effort to get along with Scott, but she soon discovers that there is more to him than first appears, making him even more dangerous in her eyes. Behind the façade of friendship, jealousy, obsession, fear and insecurity fester - an internal battle rages as she fights her attraction and does everything she can to stop history from repeating itself.
One thing she knows for sure is that if she breaks her rule, it may destroy her.

I have to say that Rocked Under was a great and smooth easy read. Don't get me wrong the were times I wanted to scream, cry and pummel someone. The story start with Emma coming to the US and she moved into an apartment with her cousin Ash. Little did Emma know that their neighbor was Ash's best friend and he is none other then a hot rocker Scott Mason.
Scott had been warned by Ash to not go near Emma because he is the epitome of womanizer. He is know to have one or two woman on his arm or in his bed at any time. Emma has a guard around her heart because of a failed marriage her mother had to her father and she does not want to be held captive in the same situation.
Throughout the story Emma and Scott have a strong attraction to each other but with her pushing him away and pulling him back in is giving Scott all kinds of mixed signals. The problem is is that while he professes his feelings he is still bedding woman after woman. For Emma she feels that what he said about how he felt was just to get her into bed. So they seem to go back and forth trying to hurt and make each other jealous. This is the part where I wanted to throw my phone. I wanted to slap Emma and tell her to take a chance but then I wanted to choke Scott for what he was doing. This went on and on between them and I wish they would have opened their eyes. Things to a drastic change when tragic events started to happen to Scott and Emma.
I don't want to give much away but they do come to the realization about their feelings for each other. But will they be able to have a relationship when they have done nothing but tried to hurt each other? Can a relationship be formed when they have been on shaky ground since day one?
I give this book 4 amazing stars.
There will be a book 2 coming out this year and I will update you when I found the release date of the book.
